Our significant projects of excellence include:
Astaka Morocco

The design and construction of the Astaka Morocco was a challenging project for the PECD Group in terms of the building’s complexity and unique craftsmanship. Truly an intricate work of art and architectural achievement, the building is believed to be one of its kind in the Asean region. It embraces the remarkably unique and famous Moroccan as well as Moorish traditional designs found in Spain with elaborate composition of intricate design finishes, landscape, water features, arts, and handcrafts.

To depict authentic Moroccan architecture in the Astaka Morocco, the PECD Group had coordinated fabrication of different forms of artwork for the ceilings, pillars, walls and doors undertaken in several villages in Morocco. Skilled Moroccan artisans with expertise in zellij tiles, gypsum, plaster and woodwork were also brought in for the final touches.

Constructed as a fast track design and build project, the Astaka Morocco was completed in September 2003 with a contract value of RM 28 million.

InventQ Jaya

The high-tech four-storey InventQjaya comprises a research laboratory for frontier technologies as well as an office building. Located in Cyberjaya, the fast track project houses a Nano lab, an independent structure designed to avoid absorption of vibrations and zero ground settlement from the main building.

Constructed at a contract value of RM 64 million, the building is touted to be a world-class research and development (R&D) laboratory for the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) community,

The KLFM is an ongoing project aimed at alleviating the ongoing incidences of persistent flooding that has been plaguing the city of Kuala Lumpur. It consists of two important components, the first of which comprises the upgrading of the present Gombak Diversion Scheme to channel more flood flow from Sungai Gombak to the Batu Pond. The second component is the development of a new diversion scheme to channel flood flow from Sungai Keroh to the Jinjang Ponds. The diversion channels connecting two retention ponds involving the Sungai Gombak and Sungai Keroh stretch about 5.6 kilometres. The KLFM project aims to divert storm water from entering the city center by creating two holding basins i.e. the Batu and Jinjang retention ponds linked by the Keroh and Gombak diversion channels.

The RM 528 million project, which commenced in the third quarter of 2003 is expected to be completed in 2006.
